1.OSAC - (Odisha Space Application Centre) has proposed to help law enforcement agencies detect illicit cannabis cultivation using remote sensing & artificial intelligence technologies. 

                                              The proposal - high-resolution satellite imagery may be used for detecting cultivation of hemp (a variety of cannabis). 


2.The eighth meeting of the UAE - India High-Level Joint Task Force on Investments was hosted by India, in virtual format due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.    

                                                   The Joint Task Force (JTF) was created in 2012 as a forum for further deepening the already strong economic ties between the India and UAE 


3.The Union Minister of Environment, Prakash Javadekar while virtually chairing the ‘India CEO Forum of Climate Change’ on November 5, 2020, highlighted that climate change is an important issue which needs the attention of the world leaders.


4.The navies of the United States and Bangladesh have jointly launched on November 4, 2020, the ‘Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bangladesh 2020’ in order to broaden relationships and expand maritime awareness between the two nations.


5.The Union Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism and Culture Shri Prahlad Singh Patel inaugurated the “Tourist Facilitation Centre” at Guruvayur, Kerala on November 4, 2020. The facilitation centre was constructed under the PRASAD Scheme by the Ministry of Tourism.


6.The United States has become the first nation in the world to officially withdraw from the Paris climate agreement on November 4, 2020.

                                                                President Trump had announced the move to quit the Paris-Climate deal in June 2017. But UN this decision came into effect from November 4, 2020,  the day after the US election.


7.The International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is an international day observed annually on November 6. On 5 November 2001. 

                                                                      The UN General Assembly declared 6 November of each year as the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict.


8.A new book titled “Till We Win” by AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria and two other doctors will give a definitive account of India’s fight against Covid-19 and how to deal with the pandemic in the days to come.

                                                                            The book has been co-written by leading public policy and health systems expert Chandrakant Lahariya and renowned vaccine researcher and virologist Gagandeep Kang.
