ERAVIKULAM NATIONAL PARK

·Eravikulam National Park is located along the Western Ghats in the Idukki district of Kerala.

· Éravikulam National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. · Established: 2003

MATHIKETTAN SHOLA NATIONAL PARK

Mathikettan Shola National Park is located in Idukki district of Kerala. · Mathikettan meaning 'mind confuser', as the local people say that one forgets the path once he enters into the park.

• It notified area national park in 21st November 2003.

PAMPADUM SHOLA NATIONAL PARK

• Pampadum Shola National Park is the smallest national park in Kerala.

• It is a part of Palani hills stretched up to Vandaravu peak. Pampadum Shola" means, "the forest where the snake dances" 

Established: 2003.

PERIYAR NATIONAL PARK

• Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (PNP) is a protected area in the districts of Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta in Kerala.

• It is notable as an elephant reserve and a tiger reserve. 

· Established: 1982.

SILENT VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

 • Silent Valley National Park is the second-largest national park in Kerala.
 • It is located in the Nilgiri hills, within Mannarkkad of palakkad District of Kerala.

 • It is part of The Nilgiri sub-cluster, Western Ghats World Heritage Site, recognised by UNESCO in 2007.

 Established: 26 December 1980.

GUINDY NATIONAL PARK

Guindy National Park is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

• 8th smallest National Park of India and one of the very few national parks situated inside a city. 

· Established: 1977.

GULF OF MANNAR MARINE NP

• Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park is consisting of 21 small islands (islets) and adjacent coral reefs in the Gulf of Mannar in the east coast of Tamil Nadu.

Public access inside the Park is limited to glass-bottom boat rides

• Established: 1986.

INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL PARK

• Anamalai Tiger Reserve, earlier known as Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park (IGWLS&NP) is located in the Anaimalai Hills, Tamil Nadu.·

Established: 1989

MUDUMALAI NATIONAL PARK

 •Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary also a declared tiger reserve, lies on the north-western side of the Nilgiri Hills (Blue Mountains) in Tamil Nadu. ·

Established: 1940

MUKURTHI NATIONAL PARK

 • Mukurthi National Park (MNP) is located in Tamil Nadu.

 • The park was previously known as Nilgiri Tahr National Park.

 • The park is a part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, Îndia's first International Biosphere Reserve. ·

 As part of the Western Ghats, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2012.
